APPA Lex is the Average Person's Personal Assistant for those on the go in Central Kentucky!

We help everyone, from small business owners to working parents to the Average Joe... or Jane. We know that life gets hectic. There are always chores, errands and a non-stop list of things to do - and never enough time in the day to do them. So, let us take care of it for you.

Who are we?
 
Allison Janbakhsh is a trained engineer. In her corporate life, she has extensive experience in project management and Lean Process Improvement. She has a Master's of Business Administration and has the skill and desire to help those around her achieve their own goals and dreams.

Laura Baker has over a decade of experience working in marketing, communications and business management. She holds Master's degrees in Marketing and Business Administration and loves helping small business owners and working parents find time for their own passions and enjoyment.

Payment Options

We accept Venmo, cash, and checks written out to APPA Lex.

Time of Payment

For small jobs (3 hours or less) payment in full is due upon completion of the job.
For jobs or series of jobs 4 hours or more in a week and for those with monthly retainers, 50% payment is due upon confirmation of booking, and the remainder is due upon completion of the work.

Pricing Structure


We offer our services for a standard hourly rate of $30 per hour. You must start with a one-hour minimum, and additional time will be prorated in increments of 15 minutes.
Small business owners or individuals needing a large amount of work over a monthly period can benefit from purchasing an upfront retainer at a reduced hourly rate. Anyone requiring at least eight hours of work each month can purchase that time upfront for $25 an hour. We do need 3 days notice prior to the beginning of the month, so we can allocate time accordingly.

Services vary by your location. Delivery and small tasks are available in Lexington only, while larger projects and remote work is open to anyone in Fayette and contiguous counties.
